Phoenix realised that all caravans are not created equal.
For example a lightweight touring caravan could not be expected to handle heavy-duty touring or off-road use when towed behind one of today's high performance 4wd towing vehicles.
The extensive tow ball rise and fall of the modern long travel suspension inherent in today's 4wd creates a whipping effect on the towed caravan; particularly in the area behind the axle line this whipping effect can bend the chassis, produce stress fractures to wall structures and cause doors and furniture to move out of alignment, and has the potential to cause or exacerbate water and dust leak.
To over come these inherent problems, Phoenix developed a unique system of caravan design and construction in which each caravan is custom built to a particular level of duty standards and is also matched to the selected towing vehicle.
The engineering process lead to discarding of the traditional caravan manufactures methods and introduced a new era of standard, of which in turn has given rise to Australia's most advanced range of caravans, both traditional and heavy duty variant; This commitment to produce a range of caravans of the highest possible standard of quality both in engineering and finish has been rewarded with a dedicated clientele.
